Gay Fetish

Do members of the Christian Right have a "fetish" about homosexuality? Having a "fetish" means using some small aspect of a larger thing to stand for or represent the entire thing (and then having some sort of obsession about it). The Christian Right certainly obsesses about homosexuality. It also looks like they focus on homosexuality as representative of the modern world - sexual freedom, sex without reproduction, individual liberty, the decline of traditional Christian control of social mores, and so on.
